Maria Menounos

 Maria Menounos, a Greek-American journalist and actress, has a net worth in excess of $20 million. Maria Menounos is most well-known for her role as a correspondent and actress for the shows Today, Extra and Access Hollywood. She was born to Costas Menounos and Litsa Menounos, Greek immigrants, in Boston, Massachusetts on June 8th 1978. Her parents were American immigrants who arrived in the United States before her birth. They worked as the janitors at a Boston nightclub. She attended the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church growing up. She graduated from Medford High School. At the age of 17, Menounos produced the "Land of Merry Misfits", an independent film fairy tale. In 1995 she began competing in beauty contests and in 2006 she won the title of Miss Massachusetts Teen USA. Then, Menounos went to Emerson College and was a part of Emerson Independent Video, an award-winning company. She received her degree from Emerson in 2000. In her time at Emerson she was an reporter for Channel One News. Menounos 10 minute segments were packed with unforgettable assignments, like travelling to El Salvador to report the earthquake that struck the country.
