MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) received a Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017. Favorite Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It reached the top 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was when he was a child. His initial goal was to be a veterinarian, His brother Julian advised him to go for singing lessons with an Cuban teacher.
